Album sampler

'Living On Light' (2007) is Dave and Boo's latest album and was more than two years in the making. The material is as diverse and eclectic as ever, with a standard tuned six-string guitar used almost exclusively as a basis (unusual for Dave!) - plus of course a huge amount of care and attention to detail in the production.

Feedback
"There is a great range of material on the DVD both in terms of the concert itself and also all the extras. Seeing the work in progress is very interesting - and slightly alarming - how can you ever say 'that's it!'?" (Paul Alford)

'Late In The Day' (2004) is a big development for us in both songwriting and production. Most of the songs feature the 5th tuned 12 string which produces some amazing harmonies and tunes which could not have been written on a normal 6 string guitar. The production is our most lavish to date on an acoustic album.

The picture on the cover is D&B superimposed on Henri Rousseau's 'Carnival Evening', which was also the inspiration for the lyrics on 'The Fair Moved On'.

'Amber' (2002) is the development of our acoustic work through 2000-2001 and includes songs written on 5th tuned 12 string and banjo as well as guitar.
Unlike the previous one, this album has touches of production creeping in!

'Maybe I Might Fall' (1999) is our first collection of acoustic songs since our re-entry into the folk clubs. It is deliberately a basic acoustic performance with no frills. "Jingle" is reprised from Dave's 1972 solo album and two other previously unrecorded instrumentals from the same era are also included.

'Snaps' (1996) is a Dave & Boo album under their 90's band name 'Brave Lucy'. These tracks are a production which we're still very proud of today. It is the culmination of about 15 years working together in our bands 'The Reactors', 'Me & My Army' and 'Brave Lucy' - which were essentially Dave & Boo plus one or two extra musicians.

'Album' (1972) is a solo album by Dave Ellis, considered by some to be a classic guitar record of the 70's. The original vinyl record (Sonet Records SNTF 646) has been remastered for CD by Japanese record company Air Mail Recordings and repackaged in its original (miniaturised) sleeve.
Included is a lyric sheet (in English!) complete with all the tunings used.

Released 1972.
Remastered 2003.
